A word frequently associated with the name "ATuffy" is "Tenacious". This same word can be used to describe the ATuffy Instant Tent. The combination of stake down tabs, tie down anchors, and guy line anchors makes the ATuffy Instant Tent one of the most "Tenacious" tents ever.

All ATuffy 2-Man Tents have a "Stake Down Tab" at each corner. There is also a "Tie Down" loop at the center of each Rain Fly end. Each Fly has four Guy Line Gussets, and each Gusset has a top and bottom set of "Grippers" on the underside of the Fly. These "Grippers" wrap around each pole to provide a firm "tenacious" anchor.
The "Grippers" not only provide an excellent way to transfer the stress away from the fabric - to the pole structure. They also serve to "tie the tent together" so to speak. With all the "Grippers" firmly clamped to the pole structure, the Rain Fly becomes a structural part of the tent. This added strength greatly improves the ability of the ATuffy Tent to withstand rough winds, and support heavy snow load.

Larger tent sizes, have two extra sets of "Grippers" for each pole - one gripper set above each gusset, and the other set below each gusset. There are also extra "Stake Down Tabs" between corners, all around the tent. This adds four more anchor points around the tent at ground level. Larger tents have 14 anchor points, and 2-Man tents have 10 anchor points, for strength and "tenacity".
